We accept most dental insurance plans that offer orthodontic insurance coverage. The majority of dental insurance policies offer an “orthodontic lifetime maximum” separate from your general dental coverage.
All PPO Plans Accepted!
We accept ALL PPO plans that carry an orthodontic benefit. However, there is a difference between accepting plans and being “in-network” with your insurance company. We are happy to explain these differences in your consultation. We accept all of the following forms of HMO and PPO insurances and more:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Delta Dental
- Dental Select
- United Healthcare Dental
- United Concordia
- United Concordia-Tricare
Again, we still accept other PPO plans not on this list!
We are in-network with:
- Delta Dental
We File Claims For You So You Don’t Have To!
We accept the assignment of your insurance. As a courtesy, we will file your claims to the insurance company and payments will be made directly to our office over the course of your orthodontic treatment so that you don’t have to worry about it.
How Does Orthodontic Insurance Work?
Your orthodontic lifetime maximum may be applied one time per patient per lifetime. Once your orthodontic lifetime maximum has been reached, remaining treatment fees due are your
responsibility. Payments from your insurance company are not paid in full at the start of treatment. They are paid on a monthly or quarterly basis throughout your treatment time.
Please keep in mind your dental insurance is a contract between your employer and the insurance company. We will submit your orthodontic claims on your behalf, but this does not guarantee the remittance of benefits.
If your insurance changes during the course of treatment, the financially responsible party is responsible for the remaining insurance balance. If your insurance changes during the course of treatment, please notify us immediately. Failure to notify us in a timely manner may result in rejected claims and the remaining amount owed will then be your responsibility. If you have any further questions, please give our office a call.
